Hello Bridge Family and Friends,
This week we begin a new series called “Financial Wisdom”. Over 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck which means they barely have enough to meet their needs with nothing left. 72% of Americans feel financially insecure and over 25% of them believe that will never change.
There is no doubt that life is hard for many of us financially these days. But I believe the truths the Scriptures teach gives us the financial wisdom we need to help us take charge of our finances and not allow our finances or our culture dictate the way that we use the money God has entrusted to us.
I know most people get uneasy when a church talks about money. Jesus talked a lot about money, not because of what He wants from us but what He wants for us. That’s the reason we’re going to talk about it. We want all of us to get better with the way we handle money in our lives. I hope you will join us this Sunday as we talk about “Whose Is It?” 1 Chronicles 29:10-16. This is a very good series to invite your Oikos to come. We all need some help with money.

KIDS KINGDOM: COME ONE COME ALL FOR OUR FIFTH SUNDAY KINGDOM FEST. We will all be in the Kingdom Hall having a great time. There will be Crafts, games, and of course a special snack. Young Adults Bible Study – First Meeting November 2nd 5:30pm at The Bridge Church Reno If you are between the ages of 18 and 30 join our young adults group as we kick off our new group this Thursday. This will be a great time to explore Christianity or grow your walk with Jesus stronger.
Awaken Annual Fundraising Banquet: November 4th 6:00pm: Peppermill Resort
Come find out more about how Awaken, one of our ministry partners, is addressing the sex trafficking issues in Northern Nevada. You will hear success stories from victims that were rescued, enjoy a wonderful meal and silent auction. Cost is $175 per person. Meal options are beef short ribs or vegan lasagna. Please note on your connection card if you are interested and someone will follow up with you.
Pastoral Search Team Selected: On Sunday 10-22-2023, we commissioned our pastoral search team. The members of this team will be responsible for building a pastor profile and working with our association to find potential candidates to bring before the church. Please pray for these people and ask God to give them great wisdom as they move forward in this process. The members are:
