Hello and happy Friday Bridge Church Family!

I hope that each and every one of you is having an amazing week so far. Today I want to personally invite you to join us this weekend for an incredible Sunday at The Bridge—one that I truly believe you won’t want to miss.

First off, this Sunday, we are wrapping up our current New Year’s series that we’ve been calling, “The Mount: New Year. New You. New Habits.” So far, it’s been an amazing journey through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and this Sunday, Pastor Phil will be bringing it home with the final spiritual habit Jesus taught in Matthew 5:13-16—which is all about how all of us can be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. And so, in this message, we are going to deeply unpack what it truly means to live in a way that attracts people to Jesus Christ.

In fact, this message is actually very important as we prepare for one of our biggest Sundays of the year—BIG GAME SUNDAY on February 9th! This is going to be an opportunity to fill our church with people who may currently be far from God, so that they can meet the One who can change their lives forever from the inside out. So this Sunday, be sure to bring your Bibles and invite a friend! Our Worship Experience starts at 10:00 AM.

Not only that, but also this weekend I (Pastor Rob) am honored to be leading worship this Sunday alongside our amazing worship team for a time of powerful, passionate, and purpose-filled praise! Expect a unique and intimate set filled with acoustic guitars, ukulele, and beautiful cello playing, all designed to help you draw near to the heart of God.

We’ll be leading these songs together:
:notes: I Believe
:notes: Bless God
:notes: The Jesus Way/I Have Decided to Follow Jesus
:notes: The Stand

PLUS, we’ll have a special performance from The Bridge’s own Suri Beas, who will kick off the service by singing the popular Christian song “Be Alright”. It’s going to be a deeply moving time of worship, and I can’t wait to experience it with you.

Next, this Sunday, we will also be celebrating communion together as a church family. Take time to prepare your heart as we reflect on Jesus’ love, sacrifice, and victory on the cross.

Not only that, but this Sunday is also Baptism Sunday at the Bridge…as we get to celebrate with those who are going public with their faith in Jesus. This is such a powerful moment, and I want to encourage you to be there to cheer them on!

By the way, if you’ve been thinking about getting baptized and taking this next step in your faith, it’s not too late! Reach out to Pastor Phil as soon as possible so we can help you get ready.

And then finally, since this Sunday happens to be Groundhog Day, we’re keeping the fun going after service with a family-friendly screening of “Groundhog Day” in the Journey Area (inside the Welcome Center). And what’s a movie without snacks? We’ll have DoughBoy Donuts to share! It’s going to be a great time of laughter and fellowship—so stick around and hang out with both old and new friends!

I truly believe God is going to move in a powerful way this weekend. So let’s make sure no one misses out!

Remember, Jesus calls us to be His witnesses in the world, and this is the perfect opportunity to invite someone who needs to hear about Him.

Just as Matthew 5:14 tells us, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” And so the question is: Who do you know that needs to experience the hope and love of Jesus? Send them a text, give them a call, or better yet—bring them with you!

I can’t wait to see you this Sunday!

Pastor Rob
