It's Almost Here
Hey Bridge Church Family and Friends,
2024 is almost here. I can't believe how fast this year has gone. We have seen God do some amazing work in and through our church in 2023. It has really been exciting. This Sunday we will wrap up our Christmas series "God With Us." We will take a look at how God is with us while we wait. I hope you will plan on joining us normal time at 10am. -Phil
Food Pantry Update: We have some fantastic news from our food pantry. Starting January 4ththey will now be open one evening a month. In addition to the first and third Thursday from 8 – 10am they will now also be open the first Thursday of the month from 5 – 7pm. We have been serving 70-80 families each time we open the pantry so this should allow us to serve even more. Please let us know if you are interested in helping with the food pantry, we are always looking for more volunteers. Also, this month we are collecting canned chili and dish soap to stock the pantry with. You can drop it off any time during church office hours.
First Place for Health Bible Study: Starting Monday January 8th from 5-6pm, online via Zoom:
our First Place for Health women’s group will be starting a new Bible study to kick off the year. They will be going over the book “A New Beginning” by Christin Ditchfield. They will explore 10 key scriptural principles that will help them stand strong in their commitment to live the life God is calling them to live, a life of obedience, balance and victory! Email Janet McHenry (prayer@thebridgereno.com) to join.
Year End Giving Update: We have received several year-end gifts and are extremely grateful for your generosity. We will prepare a financial update shortly after the year ends. Looking forward to the amazing things that God is going to do in 2024 with the Bridge.
Pastor Bill: Pastor Bill underwent a successful knee replacement surgery Wednesday December 27th. He is recovering well. Please pray for a speedy and painless recovery in the weeks ahead.
Holiday office Hours: The church office will be closed Monday January 1st for New Years. Office hours next week will be Tuesday - Thursday 9am - 1pm.
Kids Kingdom News:
Wow! I can hardly believe this year has come and gone. As I was reflecting on the year and all that has happened, I had to smile for all the growth here in the Kingdom. The children have come so far in their knowledge of Christ our savior. I want to thank all the parents for working with them on learning Silent Night. They did a spectacular job. Don't forget this Sunday is Kingdom Fest. We will have a special snack and activities. Hope to see you on Sunday. Happy New Year! -Miss Terry
