There's More to the Story!

Dear Bridge Family and Friends,

There’s More to the Story: 2021 has been a much more challenging year than we were anticipating last year at this time, as COVID -19 has remained the major story. But I want to remind you that you have been a part of making sure that there is far more to the story of 2021 because of your commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I want to say thank you for your faithfulness in serving, giving, and loving our community and the world during these challenging times. God has honored your faith and faithfulness in helping us continue to Build Bridges for People to come to Jesus and Grow in His Grace. Here are just a few things that have happened this year:

  • We helped feed 1,500 families at Thanksgiving.
  • We continue to give away 2,000 lbs of food per week at our Food Pantry.
  • We provided over 200 gifts to families in our community and children around the world for Christmas.
  • We had several baptisms.
  • Over half of our adults are connected in small groups.
  • Student Ministries and Children’s Ministry continue to thrive.
  • Over 80 adults /students served six non-profit organizations on our Annual Serving Sunday.
  • We improved the quality of our online presence.
  • We’ve continued to make progress towards our Welcome Center.

Financially, we are very close to ending the year with our gifts meeting our needs. (At this point, we are less than $10,000.00 behind). But I am asking God that we go beyond simply meeting our 2021 budget.

Part of the purpose of this letter is to ask you to pray to God with me for us to finish financially strong in 2021 so we can start out strong next year. The other reason for this letter is to ask you to consider making a year-end donation that will bridge the gap from where we are to where we need to be.   Most people think their gift will be insignificant and not help.  You could not be further from the truth.  Powerful things happen when each person takes a minute and asks God, “What do you want me to do?” and then does it. We've seen it happen time and time again!

All year-end gifts must be turned in or postmarked before midnight on Dec. 31, 2021. You can place your gifts in the black offering box on Sunday mornings when you attend. Also, you can mail in your gifts or give online by going to www.thebridgereno.com/give.

As I said at the beginning, there’s more to the story.  That’s true for all of us as we seek to trust and follow Jesus with our lives. He is always at work.  There’s more to the story of The Bridge Church and I am so thankful to be a part of a Church Community that does want to Honor Jesus with our lives and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Blessings to you,
Pastor Bill
