3rd Annual Kids Kingdom Tea Party
Sunday, April 28th @ 10:00a - 2:00p
The Bridge Church Reno

Kids Kingdom will be hosting its annual tea party on April 28th.  There will be food, fun, games, and of course tea!  So but on you best tea party attire and join us for a great time.  Please RSVP to kidskingdom@thebridgereno.com to let us know you are coming.  We want to make sure there is plenty of food.
 
Weekly Men’s Prayer Meeting Moving Times
Staring April 30th @ 8:30a

Starting Tuesday April 30th the weekly men’s prayer meeting will move from 6:30am to 8:30am.  Men: join us every Tuesday morning in the welcome center to pray for the needs of our families, our church, and our community.
 
Campus Cleanup and Maintenance Day

New Teaching series
Sunday May 5th
The Bridge Church Reno

Starting Sunday morning May 5th we will dive into a new teaching series.  We will begin a seventeen week series on the Gospel of John.  John take’s a very unique look at Jesus’ life and ministry.  And gives us a specific reason as to why he wrote it down.  I hope you will join us for that.
 
Movers for Mom’s
Going on now through May 6th
The Bridge Church Reno

Just in time for Mother’s day we have partnered with “Two Men and a Truck” and their non-profit group “Movers for Mom’s.”  They have asked us for donations that will go to our local Domestic Violence Resource Center. You will notice two donation boxes in the Welcome Center with a list of items they are looking for such as full size hygiene items and non-perishable food.  These boxes will be picked up May 6th.  You can learn more about the donation drive here https://www.facebook.com/moversformoms/
 
Kids Kingdom News
We are really excited about our Mad Hatter's Tea Party this Sunday.  We will be attending services as a group.  This is Pastor Bill's last sermon here, so we wanted to all be there.  Our party will begin immediately following the service. Hope to see all of your smiling faces on Sunday.

Finish the Race

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God..

Discipline

Discussion Questions
  1. Do you know someone who followed Christ faithfully and finished well?  If so, what do you remember about them?
  2. Do you know someone who started out well but did not finish well?  What caused them to stumble? What causes most people to fall away? 
  3. Read and discuss Hebrews 12:1-3: What stands out to you in these verses?  Who are some people in the Bible who motivate you?
  4. Looking back on your life, can you remember times when God was faithful to you?
  5. What are some of the things you struggle with that hinder you in your journey?
  6. Discuss what Christ did on the cross for you.  How does that motivate you?
  7. If you are going to finish well, what are the things that you may have to get rid of in your life?  Are there any particular sins you must battle well?
  8. How do you want those you love the most to remember you?   Are you prepared to do what you must do to make that be true?
  9. How do we make Jesus the joy that is set before us as we were the joy set before Him? What do you want to hear God say to you when you come face to face with him one day?  What can you do today to make that true?
  10. Pray together.
