The Blueprint: The Bible is Unique
Pastor Bill West
August 21, 2022
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

Small Groups Talk About It
- How many Bibles do you own? Are you surprised that the Bible is the best-selling book each year?
- How many books are in the Bible? How many in the OT and how many in the NT? Can anyone name them all-in order?
- What are some of the reasons why people do not trust the Bible? Has there ever been a time when you did not trust the Bible? If so, please share what the issue was or perhaps, still is for you? What causes you to trust it if you do?
- The Bible was hand copied for over 2,800 years. Bill talked about the process they followed for it. What are your thoughts about that?
- Bill talked about the "unity" of the Bible. What do you think about that? What unifies the Bible? Read John 5:39.
- Read 1 John 1:1, Luke 1:1-4: Why are eyewitnesses so important in Scriptures?
- Do you think the Bible is scientifically accurate? Why or why not?
- How has the Bible influenced Western Civilization?
- Read 1 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Timothy 3:16-17: What do these verses teach about the authority of the Bible?
Pray together for us to become a people who know and live out God's word.
