Latest from the Bridge Church

Hey there Bridge Church family!

Pastor Rob here, and I just wanted to take a minute to personally invite you to join us this Sunday at the Bridge Church—I honestly look forward to this time all week long. It’s such a joy and privilege to gather with you, worship Jesus, grow in our faith, serve side by side, and just be the church together.

One of my favorite verses is Hebrews 10:24-25, where it says: “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds… not giving up meeting together, but encouraging one another.” That’s what Sunday is all about—and I love getting to do it with you!

Here’s a little of what you can expect this weekend:

“Love Your Neighbor” continues
We’re continuing our series on loving our neighbor—and I’m excited because Pastor Phil and I will be team teaching as we look at John 13:1–35. It’s the powerful event of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet, and we’ll be talking about what it really means to love others the way Jesus loves us. I think it’s going to challenge and encourage all of us in a big way.

It’s Communion Sunday
This weekend is also Communion Sunday, and it ties beautifully into the message. We’ll take time to remember Jesus’ sacrifice together—His body, His blood, His incredible love for us. Let’s all come with hearts ready and open to what He wants to do.

Worship is going to be amazing
Our worship arts intern, Elizabeth Kirk, will be leading us alongside our amazing volunteer worship team—and I just know God is going to meet us in a powerful way. Come ready to lift your heart and voice to the Lord!

Sourdough + Serve = YES!
After the service, we’re celebrating National Sourdough Bread Day (yep, that’s a thing!) with a fun free sourdough tasting station. It’ll be right by our brand-new Serve Station in the Welcome Center—where you can check out all the ways to get plugged in and serve at The Bridge. Stick around, grab some bread, and connect with some new friends!

Kids Kingdom is joining us in the Worship Center
For the next three Sundays, Kids Kingdom will be joining us upstairs in the upper choir loft during the worship service, since the gym is full of Easter prep. Check-in will happen in the narthex, and our amazing Kids Ministry team will be with them—equipped with coloring pages, activity sheets, and kids’ Bibles. It’s going to be so special having them in the room with us!

Important vote for members
If you’re a member of The Bridge, we’ll be voting right after the service to confirm two new board member nominees. It’s an important step for our church family, so please stick around and cast your vote.

Want to serve with some friends? Help us assemble Easter baskets!
After the service, we’d love your help assembling Easter egg baskets in the gym. It’s a fun and simple way to serve together and help us prepare for an incredible Easter outreach. Swing by, lend a hand, and laugh with some friends while you serve—it’ll be a sweet way to end the morning.

Bridge family—I’m so thankful for you. I love what God is doing in and through this church. Let’s keep growing, serving, and loving together.

Can’t wait to see you Sunday!

With love and joy,

Pastor Rob

Food Pantry Update:
Here we are going into Spring and the Lord continues to provide for our Bridge Church Food Pantry. This week we were able to pick up milk and eggs at no charge from the Food Bank of Northern Nevada which each household will receive on April 3rd along with bread that we have secured from Bimbo Bakeries. Our freezers are full and everyone will receive frozen protein. Thank you for partnering with us as it has been difficult to get certain items. We were able to purchase tuna and chili from Food Maxx this week for a great price. With March coming to a close our requests for April are Tuna and Dish/Liquid/or Bar Soap.
