Happy Friday Bridge Church Family!
I wanted to personally invite you to join us this Sunday for what is going to be an amazing weekend of worship, fellowship, and growth together. It’s hard to believe that this will be my family’s second Sunday since we arrived here at The Bridge...and I can’t express just how grateful we are for the VERY warm welcome that you’ve all extended to us. Thank you for the meals, the hangouts, the heartfelt conversations, and all the special moments that we’ve already begun to share with you. We truly feel blessed to be a part of such a kind and loving church family.
This past week has been my first official week in the Bridge Church Office...and let’s just say that it has truly been a week that has been filled with so much joy. We kicked things off with our first annual Staff Retreat, which was packed with powerful Bible study, lots of laughter, deep strategic planning, team building, and plenty of fun. It was a beautiful time together as a staff, and I can’t wait for all that God is about to do through this amazing church. I also had the pleasure of attending our Youth Group program for the very first time on Wednesday night...and I am already so excited about how God is moving in the lives of our young people!
Our worship service is this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Worship Center, and we are continuing week #2 of our new series, "We Are The Church." This 8-week deep dive into the book of Acts is already stirring up great conversations and excitement! This weekend, we’ll be looking at Acts 2:1-41, diving into what happened at Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out on His Church in power. It’s going to be a powerful morning of worship and teaching, as we explore how to let the Holy Spirit lead us, transform our lives, and propel us to proclaim the name of Jesus to the world. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this!
In addition to our time of worship, the one and only Jeanette Martin and her incredible family will be leading us in praise (along with the rest of the worship team), and after sitting in on some of their rehearsal this past week….I know that this is going to be a very Spirit-filled time together. On top of that, this Sunday will be an exciting time for our kids as well! And that’s because Kid’s Kingdom is continuing their new series called "Game Changers," where our children will learn about what it means to live life on God's team. Both nursery and elementary-age groups will be meeting, and we encourage you to invite families in your community to join us—it’s going to be an amazing Sunday for everyone!
Lastly, I want to give a huge shout-out to the 60+ people who have signed up for our "Witness Challenge" this month! This 30-day challenge, which officially kicks off on Monday, October 7th, is designed to help you share your faith in simple yet powerful ways. If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late! Just text the word “witness” to (775) 363-0660 to get started. Pastor Phil and I will be sharing daily evangelism training videos to encourage and equip you, so get ready—it’s going to be incredible!
