Hello Church Family and Friends,
It’s no secret that we are in the middle of some very challenging times. Because none of us have ever gone through stuff like this before, it’s hard to say from day to day what is going to happen next. After two weeks of struggling with getting our service to broadcast we finally were able to do that this past Sunday. Since last week was a success, we are going to broadcast that same way this Sunday. You can join us on Facebook. If you “like” our page, you’ll receive a notification when we are on. Or, if you have Apple TV, Roku, or Firestick you can go to the app store on your device and search for NGBN (National Grassroots Broadcast Network). Download this app. The app works just like Netflix, Hulu, etc…
I know it strange to think about going to church at home. Part of why we like to attend church is to see people that we usually don’t see during the week. It’s a time to catch up and check in on each other. Right now we really can’t do that face to face. However, there are a few good alternatives. The past few weeks I have been using video chat to reach out and connect with people. And it’s actually working pretty well. Phone calls are good too, but there is something about seeing people’s faces that helps us continue to move forward during this pandemic. If you need help learning how to use video chats, please let me know and I’d be glad to help you learn.
Because of the way everything came to a sudden halt I am not able to report on our finances right now, I will be able to this next week. Since we are not meeting obviously you can’t drop your offering in the box. That’s OK, because we have an easy way for people to give through our website. Go to www.thebridgereno.com. In the upper right corner you’ll see the option to give to The Bridge Reno OR The Bridge Spanish Springs.
As I close, I’d like to encourage you to remain patient and kind. Lean on God’s strength and understanding…. Please, stay home and leave only when absolutely needed. Look for ways to help others from where you are. Remember we have a big God, and he is handling this. God is still on the Throne; Jesus is our Savior.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)
Until further notice, our Spanish Springs Campus will be closed, however, the church stands ready to continue to serve our people, community, and Savior! If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call, text, or email me.
In Christ Alone,
