Bridge Church Budget Update.

Hello Church Family and Friends,

I want to give you the Bridge Church Budget Update.  The Staff, Board, and I have worked hard to restructure our budget in light of the current economic changes that have taken place over the last few weeks. We have done so because we believe it is the responsible way to deal with the resources that God provides during this time and because we also know that many of you have had significant economic changes in your lives.

The Budget we passed in January for 2020 required an income of $48,000 per month.

The Updated Budget beginning May 1, 2020, will require an income of $36,000 per month.

As you can tell this is a 25% decrease, which means we have made some aggressive cuts for the foreseeable future that we believe will still allow us to do ministry and take care of the needs of the staff, but we hope this will be temporary.  Let me share with you how we made this decision.

First of all, we have not made any cuts to our foreign missions’ involvement, nor to any of the local organizations that we support here in Northern Nevada.  We will continue to operate our Food Pantry as long as we have food and there is a safe way to do so and assist with benevolence needs as long as we have resources available.

Second of all, after much prayer and conversation, our staff has agreed to take an average 10% cut to salaries and other payroll-related expenses.  We realize that many of you have had to take cuts in your monthly income as well.  We hope this will be short-lived but believe this is something that we need to do for the long-term health of the church.

Next, the rest of the cuts have come in the following areas: ministry expenses that have been cut or put on hold for now, activities that have been delayed or simply canceled, monthly expenses that have been reduced, and a couple of areas that have been deferred for 2-3 months.

Finally, none of the Welcome Center monies have been used for any of the general fund needs and we have no plans to do so at this point.  But it may become a part of the conversation sometime in the future if the need should arise, we will let you know if that becomes the case.

Our goal is to be wise stewards of the resources that God provides and to continue our mission to Build Bridges for People to Come to Jesus and Grow in His Grace.  By God’s grace and help, we will do this regardless of the challenges we face. The circumstances of our world require us to be even more committed to doing so.

We will continue to monitor our financial situation as we move forward and make changes as needed.  We want to be transparent with you and update regularly regarding our finances.

I recognize that many of you may have some questions about what I’ve said here or that you may want to ask.  Feel free to call me at 775-722-1670 or email me at and I’ll be glad to try to answer them.

Thank You for your continued financial support.  I am grateful for God’s faithfulness to us and your generosity.  Your gifts continue to make a difference in the lives of people.

Blessings to you all.
